The Pain that Led to Her Purpose

Her Pain:

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Wisdom was born an addict. She faced a myriad of challenges and at the tender age of 5, she was introduced to drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol. There was also mental, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse in the home causing Wisdom to develop a low self-image. She eventually became a teenage mother, a high school dropout, and a regular drug user. Her life was further complicated by domestic violence and homelessness.
After several years of daunting challenges, one failed relationship after another, and six children,
Wisdom met a woman who introduced her to THE LORD and encouraged her to give her life to JESUS. After four months of following the instructions of the Christian leader, Wisdom was set free from the drug addiction that held her captive for 33 years.

Her Purpose:

Wisdom began traveling from state to state speaking at various churches and events telling the story of what she was like before, what happened that changed her life forever, and who she is today. She went on to publish her Autobiography “A WRETCH LIKE ME from PAIN to PURPOSE”, her personal story that chronicles 33 years of Abuse and Trauma.
In November of 2009, Wisdom founded “Taking It Back Ministries” and began ministering at the YWCA in Saint Joseph, Missouri, delivering powerful and Impactful messages to the residents in the Battered Women’s Shelter, along with assisting ministries that fed hungry children in the Mid City area. Wisdom also helped other ministries that focused on helping veterans, homeless individuals, and ex-offenders find shelter and recover from addictions.
Before returning to Kansas City after 28 years she had one last assignment in the Saint Joseph area, to pastor and receive her ordination at the Ambassadors of Faith Bible College, the same church where she was once a student, and received her degree in Biblical Counseling.
